Supported formats and processing limits

Formats depend on the tool

Image processing supports JPEG, PNG, WebP, AVIF and HEIC/HEIF inputs. Output choices depend on the operation; see the tool's format selector. Animated images are processed as a still image, not preserved as an animation. Transparency can be lost when converting to JPEG. Inspect an image before changing format if these details matter.

PDF inspection, compression, merging, splitting and rotation accept PDF files. Password-protected or encrypted PDFs, embedded attachments, and active content such as JavaScript or external actions are rejected. Rewriting a digitally signed PDF can invalidate its signatures. Keep the signed original and obtain an unsigned working copy when appropriate.

Tool-specific limits and aggregate checks can be stricter. Failed attempts can consume an allowance. Public tool discovery does not require an API key; authenticated processing does. Purchasing a higher tier or credits is not currently enabled.

Size targets are measured in bytes

A receiving form may label 200,000 bytes or 204,800 bytes as “200 KB.” Use its exact rule when known, and allow a margin. Lossless PDF cleanup alone often cannot substantially shrink a scanned document. Recompressing page images can reduce detail; inspect small text after processing. See the scanned PDF guide.

Pixel dimensions and DPI describe different things. Changing DPI metadata alone does not add pixels or guarantee acceptance by a receiving site.
