Image resizer

Resize images to a required width and height

Resize images by pixel dimensions with contain or cover fit. Set print DPI separately and verify the decoded output before uploading a form.

Forms often ask for pixel dimensions, while print instructions mention DPI. Pixels control digital size; DPI records print density. Changing DPI alone does not create more image detail.

Image processing
Compress, convert, crop and resize the image batch. Sign in to upload; outputs correct orientation and remove private metadata.

0 images in queue. DPI changes print density, not image detail. Animated and multipage images use the first frame and return a warning.

Guest processing: up to 3 images per batch, 5 MB and 12 MP per image; 5 server attempts per day. Local compression is unlimited.

How it works
  1. Enter a width, height or both in pixels.
  2. Use contain to keep the full image or cover to fill the requested area by cropping. Enable upscaling only when needed.
  3. Choose output format and optional DPI, process, and check the resulting dimensions.
Capabilities and limits
  • Contain preserves aspect ratio and can produce dimensions smaller than the bounding box.
  • Cover may crop edges. Upscaling is disabled by default and can reduce perceived sharpness.
  • Only JPEG and PNG outputs persist the requested DPI. Other formats return a warning.
Questions

Does setting 300 DPI make a blurry photo sharper?

No. DPI is print-density metadata. Image clarity depends on actual pixels and the source quality; inspect the output before submitting.
