Compress image to 100 KB

Compress Image to 100 KB Online

Compress an image to 100 KB online for profile or application uploads. Start at 100,000 bytes, preserve required dimensions and check image quality.

Choose 100 KB when the upload form has a tighter photo limit. Crop unnecessary background first and use JPEG for photographs if the form accepts it. Do not shrink below the minimum width or height just to meet the byte target.

Choose images, set your options and start. Basic processing needs no login; transformed outputs correct orientation and remove private metadata.
Larger batchesPRO

0 images in queue. DPI changes print density, not image detail. Animated and multipage images use the first frame and return a warning.

How it works
  1. Select an image. This page starts with a 100000-byte target; change it if your form specifies another limit.
  2. Choose an accepted output format and whether to allow smaller dimensions. Use strict mode when the byte limit is mandatory.
  3. Process the image, compare actual output bytes and readability, then download and check it against the upload requirements.
Current limits
  • 100 KB is 100,000 bytes. If the portal requires fixed dimensions, enter them and turn off downscaling before processing.
  • Guest compression runs on the server, needs no login and accepts images up to 5 MB and 12 MP within daily limits. Output can be JPEG, PNG, WebP or AVIF.
  • A target is not a guarantee. Strict mode reports an unmet limit; best-effort mode may return an oversized candidate with a warning.
Questions

Can I keep the required dimensions at 100 KB?

Set the required width and height and disable downscaling. Compression then has less flexibility, so a detailed photo may still exceed 100,000 bytes. Try a supported format or a cleaner source; check both the output dimensions and readability before uploading.
