Use a coordinate crop to remove scanner borders or extract a specific area. Coordinates apply to the upright image after orientation correction, so a phone photo is handled consistently.

How it works
  1. Select an image and choose Crop images.
  2. Enter the top-left x/y and the crop width/height in pixels.
  3. Select format and background, run the crop and inspect the output preview.
Capabilities and limits
  • The crop rectangle must stay inside the decoded image. Out-of-range coordinates are rejected.
  • This is a manual crop, not face detection, background removal or passport-photo certification.
  • DPI and output format can be set separately; the final file is checked against your size rules.

Can cropping guarantee my ID photo meets official requirements?

No. It can enforce pixel dimensions and size, but pose, lighting and background rules need a visual review against the issuing authority’s requirements.
